Leaf Investigation
Description
When we look closely and carefully at something, we notice things we may not have seen from afar. By slowing down and focusing on the small features of an object, like a leaf, we open our eyes to the beauty of the natural world.
On your next walk, bring along a basket and collect a handful of leaves. Then choose a favorite leaf and observe it with a magnifying glass. What do you notice about the leaf that you didn’t notice before? This lesson also pairs well with our Parts of a Leaf printable.
